Application Engineer

Responsibilities:
Technical support to ensure successful integration of WiFi products into our customers' PC/Retail/Enterprise products.
The role establishes the person as the technical expert for specific products and the relevant domain.
Must have high technical competence and be able to provide in-depth technical responses to customers and to the company's FAEs, during the pre-sales process.
Once engaged with a customer, must be able to map out the technical details of a system integration plan - from project start through mass production.
Will also be involved in qualifying and working with third party partners.
Will work closely with our development engineering and program management. Should be an expert in either software and/or board designs. Should be able to work with core engineering team to get up to speed on problem determination and fix independently.

Qualifications:
BSEE/CS minimum.
MSEE/CS preferred.
5-8 years of experience developing software for embedded products and/or supporting semiconductor solutions.
Must be comfortable with both software and hardware.
Direct experience with  Wifi or similar embedded platforms is a plus 
Specific knowledge of 802.11 and PC systems or APs is highly preferred.
Must be self motivated with good communication skills and an investigative spirit.
Have ability to be reactive to customer needs coupled with superior problem solving and debug capabilities.
Fluency in English
