Senior Bluetooth Applications Engineer

Qualifications

A strong background in BlueTooth Applications, including in depth experience with software and hardware design of BlueTooth headsets is required. Must be capable of independently creating reference designs that address all applications aspects of BlueTooth hardware and software, including user interface (UI) and typical application features for a BlueTooth system such as call management, MP3, Text-to-Speech, etc. Proven ability to integrate speech recognition (SR) into the UI is desired. Proven ability to develop BlueTooth HFKs is also desired. Must be willing and able to provide customer support for BlueTooth designs, so good communication skills in English is required and skills in Mandarin is desired. Team leadership experience preferred.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Developing BlueTooth reference designs for headsets and Hands-Free-Kits that integrate Company's speech recognition for value-added UI.
• BlueTooth application customer support - general system and SR UI-specific.
• Work with CSR and other BlueTooth chipset providers to influence their architectures to maximize Company value; also ensure our delivered solutions are compatible with their standard APIs and system architecture.
• Work with Technologists to define Company SR technology application interface for optimal compliance with CSR standards.
• Developing demos of SR in BlueTooth applications.
• Travel up to 5-10%.

Requirements and Preferences

• BS or better in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or allied field required.
• 5 years of BlueTooth software and hardware design experience in all aspects of BT system required.
• HFK development experience, including AEC, NR and beam forming applications is preferred.
• Proficiency in the "C" programming language required.
• Experience with CSR BlueCore architecture preferred.
• Some experience with customer application support preferred.
• Proficiency in English required; proficiency in Mandarin is referred.
• Team leadership experience preferred.
• U.S. permanent residency at minimum is required.
