Applications Engineer
We design, develop, and market proprietary, high-performance analog and mixed-signal power management semiconductors for the computing, storage, networking and consumer markets. Our power management solutions are incorporated into products from leading system designers, including Cisco Systems, Ericsson, Hewlett Packard,Hitachi, IBM, Juniper, NEC and NVIDIA.
Position Description
System Verification
-Verify and characterize power management integrated systems. Focus areas include: power electronics, analog/digital circuits, control systems and thermal management.
-Hardware/software system design to automate/facilitate verification processes.
System Design
-Design, test and manage board level implementation of power management systems.
-System level simulations to analyze circuit implementations and tradeoffs.
Engineering Support
-Provide expert technical support to engineering customers and field Applications.
-Interface with IC Design and Marketing to define new products based on inputs from customers, field applications and industry trends.
-Analyze competitive solutions and document results.
-Write product datasheets, evaluation kit manuals and application notes.
Experience
Entry level to 5+ yrs
Education
BSEE, MSEE (preferred)
Qualifications
Strong technical skills (analog, digital and control circuits)
Power electronics and programming experience preferred
Strong communication skills
Highly motivated and good work ethic
