Analog Design Applications Engineer

As an Analog Applications Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical support. This support will be in a variety of areas, including technical solutions to analog / digital designs, circuits and layout activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing design/application documentation for design engineers.
  • Reviewing design layout for device/circuit/ESD interaction..
  • Troubleshooting and evaluating devices to specification in the engineering lab.

The successful candidate will possess Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent, related experience and minimum of 8 years of related experience. Experience must include analog BCD / application / analog verification and ability to demonstrate a detailed understanding of Cadence’s custom IC design environment (icfb) using analog layout (Virtuoso Layout, Virtuoso XL).

You must also have the following:

  • Experience in analog / mixed signal design of integrated circuits in BiCMOS and BCD technologies.
  • Knowledge of device physics, ESD and latch up
  • Applications knowledge with the following is required:
    • Analog components: ADCs, DACs, op amps, power management, discrete transistors, passives, motors
    • Digital components (logic, memory, PLD, FPGA, and microcontrollers).
  • A good understanding of debugging electronic boards, measurement equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, function generator).
  • Ability in at least one programming-language (assembler, C, C++). Must have experience in the UNIX shell environment, including scripting in csh, bash and/or Perl.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work at the bench.
