Principal Software Engineer - (CA)
This is a Start Up Opportunity located in the Bay Area in California! My client is a Pre IPO fabless semiconductor company developing high performance single chip products delivering specific media content to mobile wireless devices. Required Skills:
- Minimum 7 years in developing embedded drivers and understanding of embedded systems architecture
- Experience developing embedded products for consumer electronic products
- Able to take a product through its full life cycle
- Strong knowledge of development process, bug tracking tools, revision control tools
- Fluent in C. C++ and Assembler a plus
- Familiarity with X86, ARM or Tensilica processors
- Experience with HW tools such as logic analyzers, JTAG/ICE. Desired Skills:
- Linux driver and Windows driver experience (SDIO and USB a plus)
- Knowledge of Windows Multimedia (e.g.DirectX, DirectShow, Direct3D)
- Experience with either digital or analog TV standards
- Experience with Cellphone, PDA development
- Experience with video compression
- Experience with communication protocols sich as I2C and SPI
