Laboratory Animal Supervisor – Rodent & Reproductive Toxicology
In this position, you will manage the daily operations of the Rodent and Reproductive Toxicology departmental resources, technical team and support activities necessary to provide husbandry and animal care to laboratory rodents used in the support of drug discovery research.
You will coordinate the department, such as animal care, facility maintenance, environmental monitoring, and preventative maintenance; Assist in the design and implementation of various processes within area of responsibility to ensure regulatory compliance (USDA, FDA) and AAALAC standards are adhered to; Supervise a diverse workforce of laboratory animal technicians in assigned areas of the facility to achieve departmental objectives.
To qualify, you must have a BS degree in a science-related field and at least 3-5 years of supervisory experience working in an animal lab facility. Candidates should possess expert knowledge of animal models and animal welfare regulations (FDA, USDA, AAALAC, and State requirements); RLATG certification would be preferred.
