The PeopleSoft Systems Administrator will support PeopleSoft financial applications running in an Oracle RDBMS, UNIX/Linux, and Windows NT environment with specific emphasis on the server and database infrastructure. The system administrator will be responsible for the migration of new development, enhancements, and maintenance patches into the production environment.  Also responsible for refreshing non-production environments, performance tuning, troubleshooting, on-going maintenance, resolving system issues, and applying PeopleSoft patches and upgrades. The system administrator will coordinate and install product fixes to current releases of PeopleSoft, will maintain PeopleSoft operator security and access control and provide technical expertise to users and PeopleSoft developers in resolving system problems and in assisting the implementation of new PeopleSoft modules.  The PeopleSoft technical environment includes application servers, web servers, file servers, security, change management, patching, troubleshooting, and integration with other systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for hands-on administration and support of technical aspects of PeopleSoft Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) modules, databases, and environments.
  • Configure and maintain all PeopleSoft production, test, and development environments and instances.
  • Become the resident technical expert for PeopleSoft technology.  Set technical direction, establish standard support processes and practices, and contribute to the success of PeopleSoft implementations. 
  • Technical expertise in PeopleSoft Administration including, but not limited to:
    o    Client and application server
    o    Application of patches/maintenance packs
    o    Data mover
    o    Process scheduler
    o    Security
    o    Data mover
    o    SSL implementation, including certificate management
    o    Performance tuning/monitoring
    o    Change management
    o    Environment configuration
    o    System files
  • Effectively utilize resources to provide best-in-class PeopleSoft technical support and systems administration.
  • Establish and document policies and procedures for proper configuration, maintenance, and integration within the PeopleSoft environment. 
  • Develop documentation to guide development and ensure proper setup and maintenance of PeopleSoft environments.

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, preferred
  • 10+ years of IT experience in application support, administration, or development
  • Must have 5+ years of experience with Peoplesoft Financial Supply Chain Module (FSCM)
  • Must have experience and fulfilled a significant role in large-scale PeopleSoft upgrades.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, Unix, and Microsoft NT Server
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with Oracle 10g
  • 5+ years of application development experience in PeopleTools
  • Experience with database refresh and restore
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Security utilizing SSO, LDAP, Active Directory
  • Experience in implementing the Integration Broker technologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
