Job Description:
PeerFX is an online peer-to-peer currency exchange in its start up phase and is currently hiring an individual passionate about the industry, and our business strategy. We are looking for a seasoned and multi-talented individual who will contribute their insights to make our financial management process more efficient. The goal of the position is to manage the imbalance issues with the PeerFX system and work with marketing representatives to plan the flow of funds in and out of PeerFX.
This is a hybrid role where you will first use your understanding of treasury management especially in foreign exchange to create systems and models which will support the timely execution of fund flow so that marketing tactics are maximized while minimizing imbalances in the system. The other component of the job is to create budgeting systems for internal fiscal management and also cost accounting systems for monitoring profitability for each of the company’s products and services.
Other duties will be to assist in the fund raising activities lead by the CEO. You will assist by preparing timely and relevant financial reports and potentially co-present to potential investors answering questions related to the financial viability of PeerFX.

Build Financial Models to Maximize Profitability;
Creating various product/service financial business models
Advise for every major strategic initiative and endeavor to determine if activities are profitable and viable
Assistance in Financial Management Strategies;
Asset management
Float accounts, interest earned maximization
Fund pooling optimization
Currency imbalance management
Money Management/Banking Transaction Processing
Assistance in setting up strategic business banking relations
Money management/placement of pool funds
Handling of balances (overnight balances)
Managing the settlement and associated risk of foreign change pools in accordance to company’s business model.
Regional Development
Help assist in providing solutions and process improvements surrounding global banking relations and transactions efficiency (EFT-Wire-ACB-Swaps-Shadow Markets-Bill Payments) maximization.
Your Duties in Brief:
The following sections are intended to give you an idea of the business areas that fall within your responsibility, however, we want our team members to participate and contribute in every aspect of the business where they can add value and not just perform tasks outlined below.
1. Daily: Follow money market trends in major geographic markets and translate these forecasts into a guideline for marketing representative to plan their promotional deals to stimulate demand in a currency lacking demand/supply in our system.
2. Weekly: Revise pro forma financial statements as new data is researched to present most up to date information to potential investors. Weekly team meetings to coordinate strategies with team members to ensure financial operations run smoothly.
3. Monthly: Review forecasts and compare against actual market fluctuations that occurred – how can you do better forecasting to increase operational efficiency? With fluctuations in the money market, this task is crucial to the success of PeerFX. Allocation of budgets to each area of the business; follow-up to make sure expenses and income are on track with projections (performance measurement).
4. Quarterly: Prepare quarterly financial statements for internal review of financial performance; this information will be used to shape and define our strategy implementation for all areas of the business. For example, your recommendations will include whether budgets should be reallocated to another business area to increase revenues.
5. Annually: Prepare annual financial statements for shareholders’ general meeting held on an annual basis. Attend shareholders’ meeting to present annual performance numbers and forecasts for the upcoming year. Preparation of annual budget for planned company activities.
Qualifications:
1. At least 5 years post-graduate industry experience with a preference for someone who has had at least 1 prior start-up company experience.
2. A degree in Business with professional designation (CA, CMA, CGA)
3. Treasury Management experience especially with forex is important
4. Previous experience working in the financial industry or other relevant industry experience is mandatory.
5. Proficiency in constructing financial statements and a thorough understanding of company pro forma statements are required.
