About the Company:

PeerFX is an online peer-to-peer currency exchange looking for an intermediate-level web developer who can contribute their insights on our tech strategies and to implement the details of the plan supporting the tech strategies.  We need someone who can do hands-on programming, think of ideas to make the system more competitive and suggest ways we can better promote our service online. Position Background

The tech strategy is a crucial pillar in our business strategy of being a high volume payment solutions provider. The demand for our service will grow so the tech strategy needs to support this growth. Compensation will be competitive with other start-ups in our space. As well, all PeerFX team members will share in the success of the company through stock options, which are available to reward and motivate people who want a fun yet committed work culture.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Director of Marketing and our Advisory Board, you will be responsible for all or parts of the following development efforts:

Here’s our development plan for the upcoming months:

1.      Building the management-monitoring interface to streamline our administrative interface to allow:

a.       Display of currency positions on management interface

b.      Display of transaction statistics to monitor revenue, transaction volume, number of transactions, new sign-ups and FINTRAC (regulatory) reporting.

2.      Developing and implementing online marketing strategies which are aimed at increasing transaction volumes and heavy traffic to our website.

3.      Streamlining the user interface to simplify payment options such as (but not limited to):

a.       Adding the ability to pay with Pre-Authorized Debit

b.      When volume permits, integrating with the banking institutions to streamline payment for our users

4.      Implementing dynamic pricing and optimization models of currency positions within the administrative platform.

5.      Building our multi-currency platform to help expansion efforts into new geographic regions.

6.      Maintaining and enhancing our website content and functionality ensuring web 2.0 usability and customer-facing content.

Qualifications:

   1. Previous experience developing Forex financial software is preferred.

   2. Understanding of financial markets is an asset.

   3. Commercial experience developing software in .NET, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server.

   4. Front end and User-Interface Development in CSS for example is an asset

   5. Experience developing enterprise-level (High availability and High Performance) software preferably in the financial (Forex) domain.

   6. A degree in a relevant discipline.
