Our client  has close to 15 years of experience providing consumers with automotive and home storage solutions. With 8 retail stores, over 60 full-time rack experts on staff, and one of the largest inventories in the business, our client is North America's Premier Retailer of automotive and home storage solutions.

  Our client has an exciting future with significant growth forecasted and a reputation for being a great place to work. The IT department is small so you are expected to take initiative and to solve problems often without much supervision.  So you need to be resourceful, respond quickly and not let the chaos at times affect you.

Their online business is a multimillion dollar revenue generator and is responsible for a large portion of its business. Imagine how exciting it would be if you were instrumental and contributing to this part of their business. As the Ecommerce Application Developer, you are accountable for making sure the company's ecommerce, intranet, network and future software development projects are meeting expectations. This is a multi-faceted role but your primary role will be to maintain and improve on the ecommerce platform's ability to generate revenue. This position requires a special individual because the right candidate will be self directed with an ability to juggle tasks without missing any of the small details and be able to learn new technologies.   You'll have outstanding communication skills and your organizational skills fall into the category of “six sense”.

SKILLS

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Development experience with ASP/VBScript, VB.NET, C#, XML, JavaScript (JQuery library would be an asset), Flash, HTML, and CSS
  • 2+ years web development experience, preference given to those with previous e-commerce background (able to produce an active portfolio with URLs)
  • 1+ years of SQL database experience with over 2 years of Windows Server Administration
  • Capable of creating images and advertisements with Photoshop or similar application for seasonal advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Able to create and execute thorough test plans

Like to have SKILLS

  • Pay-per-Click experience with Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and MSN adCenter
  • Familiar with Search Engine Optimization
  • Able to troubleshoot Windows XP workstation problems and low level networking experience
  • Able to analyze Google Analytics metrics to create a better user experience
  • Familiar with XML-RPC communication strategy
