We are seeking a Director of Sales who will be responsible for leadership of a field-based sales and service team for a Life Science Company.

This individual will develop goals and objectives to achieve sales targets.  The Director will coach, support, and train sales representatives to increase sales and market share; create sales forecasts, and conduct performance reviews of employees.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sales and service strategy and tactics to meet profit and volume objectives
• Participate in development of plans for sales and service goals
• Participate in the development of marketing programs and sales promotion activities
• Oversee all regional sales managers
• Recruit, develop, and train top commercial organization
• Manage tactical marketing department and customer service department
• Develop effective compensation plan for maximized profitability and growth

Requirements:

• Life Science degree
• 5+ years Senior Corporate Management experience
• Commercial leadership, direct selling experience
• Track record of revenue growth
• Must be able to direct, coach, train and support a field based sales team
• Demonstrated experience in laboratory industry/market
• Ability to establish goals and objectives to achieve sales targets
• Experience with creating sales forecasts and performance review
• Strong negotiating, presentation and closing skills
• Must have excellent communication and organization skills
• Willing to travel overnight up to 30-40% of the time
