The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Data Warehouse Analyst with experience in DataStage

and Cognos products operating in MS SQL Server environment. The Data Warehouse Analyst

will be responsible for reviewing project requirements, analyze and determine the most efficient

and effective approach to provide a solution, model, code/modify and document the migration

process, and implement the projects in the production environment after receiving client

approval. Throughout this process the Data Warehouse Analyst will interact with other DWA’s

and DBA’s as often as appropriate. The knowledge, skills and experience a Data Warehouse

Analyst must have to be successful in providing these services to our clients are:

Language Requirement: English Essential

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of multi-user client server applications is required;

Knowledge of the GEAC Smartstream will be an asset;

Knowledge of Cognos products (Transformer, PowerPlay, PowerPlay Enterprise Server, Access

Manager, Reportnet) is required;

Knowledge of DataStage (Director, Designer, Manager, Administration, DataStage

scripting/BASIC) is required;

Knowledge of the .NET architecture will be an asset;

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

8-10 years experience in progressively responsible positions in IT;

5-8 years experience coding in Microsoft SQL Server including exposure to MS SQL 2000, MS

SQL 2005 and MS SQL 2008;

Application development lifecycle methodology;

Preparing technical documentation;

Analytical and technical skills;

Client Focus

Experience in working in a team environment;

Written and verbal communication skills;

Experience using SMTP mail;

Use of Microsoft Visual SourceSafe, ERWIN and XML experience
