On behalf of our client located in Vancouver, TRS Contract Consulting Group is currently looking for Business Analyst for a 6 month contract opportunity with the possibility of extension.

The services of the Business Analyst shall generally encompass the following:

• Support the integration of the legacy Contract Management Plan (CMP) into the Integrated Contract Management Plan (ICMP).  This will involve data extraction, validation, and formatting to ensure compatibility with the new database.
• Assist and backfill the Category Procurement Analyst as required in the following areas:
• Collect and maintain data on current IT contracts in the province.
• Provide input and data for the ICMP and take responsibility for maintaining the integrity of IT files.
• Participate in bi-weekly IT Category meetings to record data on IT procurement activities throughout the province.
• Maintain a “Status Flash” document to be reviewed and approved by the Category Procurement Analyst or Category Lead and distributed to the provincial IT working group
• Provide the Category Procurement Analyst or Category Lead with detailed financial and contract analysis related to existing contracts and/or the negotiation of new contracts within the IT portfolio.
• Provide detailed financial and data analysis to the Senior Buyer, Category Procurement Analyst or Category Lead related to ongoing competitive bidding or other strategic sourcing activities in Category Management.
• Identify potential opportunities for savings through Price Normalization/Price Standardization and re-negotiation of contracts based on analysis data gathered on existing IT contracts.
• Complete administrative functions and participate in process design for a newly implemented “triage” function where Category Management will review all IT requests for the province of British Columbia within established parameters.
• Prepare and publish process documents related to IT procurement for review and approval by the Category Procurement Analyst – IT or Category Lead.
