EHS Team Lead - Russellville, AR

Position Summary: Assist with the management of the plant Environment, Health and Safety (E, H & S) programs to ensure operations minimize the impact upon the environment and a safe and accident-free work environment.  Plans and/or delivers programs to train managers and employees in adopting work practices that work toward zero injuries and environmental incidents.   Analyze accident and environmental data to identify trends and incident types identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.  Implements management systems to eliminate environmental incidents.  The development track for this position can be to the Environment, Health and Safety Manager of a facility or to Operations.

 

Position Responsibilities:

         Assist with the execution of tasks related to the management of the EHS function at the facility.

         Assist with the development and execution of EHS plans including Safety & Health Accident Reduction Plan (SHARP) and annual environmental plans.

         Maintain government required reporting processes and systems.

         Provide direction and assistance to plant supervisory staff in fulfilling their obligations for environment, health and safety.

         Assist with the implementation of Key Concepts of Safety / Environment.

         Provide expertise and develop good practices and procedures related to water use, energy use, waste minimization and wastewater treatment. 

         Analyze accident and environmental incident data to identify trends and accident types that can be prevented and work within facility systems and processes to develop and implement processes for reduction / elimination.

         Trains, monitors and audits safety and environmental processes to ensure compliance.

 

 

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:

         Bachelor’s degree in a related area

         Knowledge of EPA and OSHA

         Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation

         Excellent written and oral communication skills

         Demonstrated leadership skills; self-motivated

         Skilled in utilizing systems to track and monitor activity and to set improvement targets

         Three to Five years supervisory experience

         Experience with developing and delivery of training plans
