Problem: How do I remove anti-spyware programs on my computer?
There are several third party anti-spyware programs on the market that alter critical Windows system files on your computer that disable or corrupt Microsoft Automation components used by MaxHire and other programs. This may result in certain features, like the Outlook Add-in from functioning properly. These programs include but are not limited to SpyBot, AdAware and SpySweeper.
If you have installed any of these programs, you MUST remove them and reboot your computer prior to installing MaxHire. We are not able to offer support to users who have these programs on their computers and who are experiencing problems with Microsoft Automation features.
If you feel you need an anti-spyware tool, we recommend Microsoft’s anti-spyware utility, which does not corrupt Windows system files.
To remove anti-spyware programs:
From the Windows desktop,
click Start > Settings > Control
Panel.
Double-click Add/Remove Programs and locate the program to remove.
Remove all third party anti-spyware programs and reboot your computer. Even if you are not prompted to reboot, it is important that you reboot to complete the uninstall process.
