Problem: How do I configure MaxHire with a proxy server?
If your network has an authentication-based proxy server, you must configure the proxy settings to use MaxHire by clicking the Configure Proxy button on the MaxHire Server window. Please consult your network administrator for assistance with configuring your proxy server settings.
Important
If you enter the proxy server information incorrectly or accidentally, you must follow the steps here to delete the settings.
To find your proxy server address:
From the Windows taskbar, click Start > Run.
In the command window, enter
proxycfg to display your proxy server address.
OR
In Internet Explorer, click Tools > Internet Options.
From the Connects
tab, click the LAN Settings tab.
Note
Before proceeding, you may need to change your Folder View options in Windows Explorer to show system and hidden files.
Click the Windows Explorer or My Computer shortcut on your desktop.
Click
Tools > Folder Options > View
and select the Show hidden files and
folders option.

To delete the proxy server address used by MaxHire:
Right-click the Windows Start
button and click Explore.

Navigate to the following
path: C:\Documents and Settings\<<YOUR WINDOWS
ACCOUNT>>\...Local Settings\Application Data\MaxHire

Delete the ProxyAuth.log
file
