Resume parsing is not working properly

Problem: Resume parsing is not working properly.

 

Due to the formatting of some resumes, resume parsing (extracting data from a resume to create a new person record) may not be 100% accurate. If you are manually importing resumes, we recommend proofing the data after it is imported.

If a resume does not parse correctly due to poor formatting, this does not affect searching. When you search in MaxHire you are searching both data fields and resumes linked to a record.

 

If you notice that the address appears to be incorrect or that the name did not extract properly, you can use the Document Browser window to proof the imported data.

 

To proof an imported resume:

 

  1. Press CTRL+B to open the Document Browser window (the record will be open after you import the resume).

  2. Compare the extracted data in the Personal Data tab with the resume text

  3. You can highlight and copy information in the Document Browser using CTRL+C. Use CTRL+V or right-click in a MaxHire field to paste copied text.
