CareerBuilder Document Processing Interface (DPI) Instructions

IMPORTANT NOTICE – AUTOMATIC POSTING IS NOT FOR EVERYONE!

This job board uses a real-time web service to post jobs immediately from MaxHire. Although highly reliable, the web service transmission is less fool-proof than posting your job directly on the job board using the web interface they provide. As a rule, if you post fewer than 20 jobs per month to this job board, you should not use the integrated job posting in MaxHire since your time savings will be minimal. Manually post your jobs using the web interface provided by the job board and use the MANUAL JOB POSTING option in MaxHire to include a link to apply online via the candidate portal.

MaxHire will use its best efforts to monitor the successful transmission of jobs to this job board, but it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that jobs sent are successfully added to this board.

Posting Method: Real-Time Web Service

This job board uses a real-time web service which permits adding, modifying and deleting individual jobs from MaxHire. The changes you make to the job posting in MaxHire are immediately transmitted to the job board.

Verifying Your Account Supports Real-Time Posting

Not all CareerBuilder accounts support real-time posting through the CareerBuilder DPI. Please send CareerBuilder the following email and CC MaxHire support so that we know that you are in the process of setting up the posting with this board. You can also CC your account manager so that they know you are setting up the job posting feature. Use the following email template when contacting the job board:

DPISupport@careerbuilder.com

CC:

Subject:

Request for Job Posting via Webservices DPI

Body:

Dear CareerBuilder DPI Support,

We would like to verify that our account is valid for posting jobs via the DPI web services interface. Our applicant tracking system vendor, MaxHire.net, has already implemented the webservices DPI interface and is familiar with the setup and testing needed to implement.

When setting up the DPI account, please turn OFF the option to display outside links in a CareerBuilder frame. The candidate processing system provided by MaxHire uses technology that is not compatible with frames so this option must be disabled in your system. I authorize the MaxHire support department to communicate with you on our behalf to set up and test the DPI interface.

Here is the information we use to log in to our CareerBuilder account:

Login Email Address: (enter the login email address you use for CareerBuilder)

Password: (enter the password you use to log in to CareerBuilder)

If our account supports the DPI interface, MaxHire support will configure everything so we can start posting through MaxHire.

Please CC MaxHire support on your response feel free to contact MaxHire support if you have any questions.

Posting Jobs

Once we have DPI integration information from the job board, our support department will activate the job board in MaxHire. We will send you an email when this is done and you will be able to transmit jobs. It is very important that you verify that you jobs are successfully processed by the job board and that the jobs actually appear on the board after the batch is transmitted. You can see which jobs are posted to the job board by doing an advanced job search or by running the available reports in the JOB POSTING menu under the main REPORTS menu in MaxHire. If you discover a problem with the posting, please contact MaxHire support via support ticket as soon as possible. Do not contact the job board for technical support. We will do that on your behalf if needed.

PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 5 BUSINESS DAYS TO ACTIVATE THE JOB BOARD AFTER WE RECEIVE THE BATCH POSTING INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE JOB BOARD.
