Problem: The Outlook Add-In is disabled, does not appear, or is not responding.
If you have never installed the add-in, please see the MaxHire User Guide for information on installing and configuring the Outlook Add-In.
Occasionally MaxHire’s Outlook add-in may become disabled by Office updates or conflicts with other add-ins or internet security software. Outlook 2007 is particularly prone to this behavior with conflicting components and any other add-ins should be removed prior to repairing the MaxHire Add-In.
When this happens, please try the following solutions:
Please note that you must complete ALL the
steps on this page before receiving support for the Outlook Add-In.
From Outlook, click Help > About Microsoft Outlook > Disabled
Items.
Select maxhire.dll
from the list of files and click Enable.
Restart Outlook.
If the Outlook Add-In does not appear, or if it is not listed in the disabled programs, try turning on the add-in from MaxHire or running the Repair function to correct any errors.
Note
On some versions of Outlook, the Disabled Items button only appears if one or more plug-ins is disabled.
From Outlook 2007, click Help > Disabled Items.
Select maxhireoladdin.dll from the list of files and click Enable.
Restart Outlook.
If the Outlook Add-In is enabled and you are still experiencing problems, running the Repair functionality in the Outlook Preferences window in MaxHire will often resolve some of the more common issues.
To repair the Outlook Add-In:
Close Outlook.
From MaxHire, click File > Outlook Preferences.
If the Outlook Add-In section contains an Add button, the Outlook Add-In is not installed.
Click Add
to install the Outlook Add-In.
If there is no Add
button, under Outlook Add-In,
click Repair.
Click OK when prompted to confirm the change.
Click OK to close the Outlook Preferences window.
Restart Outlook.
If the Outlook Add-In does not appear, you must reinstall MaxHire to register the Outlook Add-In component.
