Problem: How do I send a screen shot to Support?

 

When you are unable to describe your problem in writing, you can send a screen shot (an image of exactly what appears on your computer screen) to support to illustrate the problem.

 

When you submit a ticket by logging on to http://www.maxhire.net/care.asp, you will receive an automated response confirming that your ticket was received. Simply reply to this message and attach your screen shot.    

 

To capture the entire screen:

 

  1. Arrange the relevant windows so they are visible on your computer screen and press the PrintScreen or PrtScn key to capture the image.


     

Note Note

Some keyboards (especially on laptop computers) may have a Function Lock, F Lock, or 2nd Fcn key which changes the behavior of this key. In this case, you may need to consult your computer's user manual.
 

  1. Open a new blank file in Microsoft Word or any program with comparable graphics capabilities, and press CTRL+V to paste in the image you captured from your screen.

  2. Depending on the version of Word you're using, you may be able to click File > Send To > Mail Recipient (As Attachment), and enter support@maxhire.net in the To field before clicking send. Otherwise, save this file and attach it to your email to support@maxhire.net.

 

 

To capture only the active window:

 

  1. The steps for sending a screen-shot of only the active window on your screen are almost exactly the same as for capturing your entire desktop except that you must hold down the Alt key when you p press the PrintScreen or PrtScn key.
