Can I recall an email that I sent from MaxHire?

Problem: I would like to recall an email sent through MaxHire.

 

In Microsoft Outlook, it’s possible to send a "Recall request" for an email that was sent erroneously and you do not want to be delivered.

 

However, Outlook does not actually have a true ability to recall an email. You can send a recall request, and in an internal Exchange environment the original email will not be delivered. If you send a recall request to an external email address (i.e., someone outside of the local office network), it just shows up as a second copy of the email with "Recall request" in the subject line. Non-Outlook users (Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc) just see this as an additional regular email and they still receive the original.

 

Since it’s not possible to truly recall an email sent outside of an internal MS Exchange environment, these recall requests cannot be sent from MaxHire.
