I get an Error 6003 when sending email

Problem: I receive an error 6003 when sending bulk or regular email through MaxHire.

The error message looks different when sending via your ISP’s mail server or the MaxHire mail server.

MaxHire mail server:

ISP mail server:

The error message is caused by an attempt to send to an invalid email address. An email address is invalid if it contains any more or less than a single @ symbol, spaces, reserved characters (+, *,  =, etc), or a missing extension (.com, .net, etc).

The following are examples of common invalid email address formats:

The invalid email address will usually be the first email address listed in the To: field of the email after the error has occurred.

To resolve the problem:

  1. Click OK to close the error message.

  2. Note the first email address in the list.

  1. Open the record for this person in MaxHire.

  2. Highlight the record in the To: field and press the Delete key to remove it from the list.

  3. Send your email.

To correct the invalid address:

  1. Open the person record.

  2. Verify the address formatting for the primary and secondary email addresses under both the Work Profile and Personal Data tabs.

  1. Correct any problematic formatting and save the record.
